FAQs

Here to Assist

As a professional Coaching Professional, asking the right questions is very important. Below you will find a compilation of the most common questions I’ve been asked about coaching and the services I provide. If you still have questions after reading through the FAQs, please  send me an email, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Woman by the Water

Why choose coaching?

Coaching is an interactive process between you and your coach that examines where you are today and creates a roadmap to the future. You get to decide what you want your life to look like and I help you achieve it. It differs from counseling or therapy in that it will help you design your future rather than get over your past. It is thought provoking and creative. It encourages self-discovery. Working with me will be inspiring, challenging, and rewarding.

Woman in the Nature

What is a Discovery Session?

A discovery session is meant to acquaint you with the coaching process. We will chat for roughly 30 minutes so I can start to understand your current state and how I might be able to help. We will determine if we're a good fit for each other. There is no fee for this call and no obligation to continue unless you choose to move forward.

What are your fees?

I charge by the single session ($100), or for more comprehensive coaching and better pricing, you can purchase monthly packages ($300 for four sessions per month). I invite you to think of coaching as a process. Many people create change for themselves in a short time. However, to refine and sustain the change takes several months.  Although not binding, I would ask that you expect our coaching relationship to last at least 3 months.

Why choose me as your coach?

Because I have chosen to earn credentials in coaching from the International Coaching Federation, you can be assured that I have the education and training necessary to be an effective coach and will act with the highest level of integrity as your coach. This means that I will adhere to the core principles outlined by ICF. This includes, but is not limited to: acting with personal integrity and honesty, being sensitive to your values, identity, experiences and beliefs, maintaining confidentiality, having an open, learning mindset, reaching an agreement with you about your goals, partnering with you to achieve outcomes, cultivating trust and safety, being present, confident and curious during our sessions, actively listening and reflecting on what you are communicating, facilitating your insight and learning, sharing unbiased observations, and partnering with you to translate insight and learning into action.

Raw Diamond

Why the name, "The Diamond Life Coach"?

Not only is it a nod to my former career, the diamond symbolizes strength, beauty, brilliance, and resilience. I believe each of us has those characteristics inside of us. But just like a rough diamond has to be polished to bring out it's natural beauty, people sometimes need guidance to discover (or rediscover) their beauty and brilliance.
